This Destruction series was completed in the Spring of 2017 as a continuation of the series from the previous year. This round of the series was created as an attempt at reaching the color I desired that I could not previously create using inks and dyes. By using the copper in combination with the chemical toxicity I was able to create a patina that I had not yet encountered. By taking my previously, and newly created zinc plates I was able to create mono prints with the textured surface in combination with the semi-autonomous drawings created on acetate that originally inspired this body of work to be created at it's origin.
The material interaction the below portion of the Destruction series was completed in the Spring of 2016 as an attempt to better understand the relationships between toxic chemicals and otherwise every day materials as a metaphor to toxicity in daily life and how deeply it can effect what's in its path.
